Community Forklift has been working hard lately to establish stronger relationships with both new and established donors by providing them more recognition via our website, our warehouse, and our monthly newsletter. One of the first companies to establish themselves as a new and continuing Community Forklift donor, Architectural Ceramics, is our featured partner for the month of September.
Established in 1983 by Larry & Betty Sullivan, Architectural Ceramics is a ceramic tile, stone & marble, floor and glass tile supplier with stores located throughout the DC Metro region. The company offers an extensive product line in ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, slate, marble, limestone, and glass and metal tiles, offering more than 25,000 samples from which to choose.
We offered them the following recognition:
- Special mention on our website with a description of the company and a link to their website.
- In-store placards next to donation(s) thanking Architectural Ceramics for their support
- Mention of any major donations in our newsletter and in announcements for sales on tile or other Architectural Ceramics’ donations.
We received our first donation from Architectural Ceramics – 15 pallets of floor and wall tile – in early June, and we anticipate another load of tile later this fall. Community Forklift hopes to establish closer ties with builders and suppliers, such as Architectural Ceramics, and to honor those companies who help support our mission.
With regard to this new partnership, Architectural Ceramics Warehouse Manager, Sonny Obloy says, “Working with Community Forklift is a win-win. We save money on disposal costs, receive a tax deduction, and customers will begin to recognize our company as a leader in green building and resource conservation.”
